Eighteen handicraft items have been selected as official gifts for guests at celebrations to mark the 1,000 th birthday of the capital city of Hanoi .

The gifts include rattan bags, silk, pottery and silver jewelleries.

Those items were selected from 200 entries by 60 units and individuals to a contest held from February to July this year with the aim to find products that are best representative of Hanoi ’s culture and history.

Those selected items will be awarded and displayed at the week of fine arts and handicraft items scheduled for August 4.
